If you live in Manila and want to get away for the weekend, you should try a motorbike tour from Manila to Puerto Galera. It’s a short ride and will be refreshing for you.
The total distance from Manila to Puerto Galera is 140 km, including a 1-hour boat ride. If you have a 400cc motorbike, you will be able to use the expressway. Motorbikes less than 400cc are not allowed on the expressway. The highway is suitable for small bikes, but pedestrians may be walking on the road at any time, which can be dangerous for first-timers.
On the way to Puerto Galera, you can stop in Tagaytay, a very beautiful city with views of a Tagaytay Taal Volcano. This place is nice and cold. Bring a jacket with you. If you leave early from Manila you can be in Tagaytay in 2 hours.
Once you are out of Manila, the traffic will become less. Leave early in the morning so you have a full day to use.
1st Night in Puerto Galera:
This is one of the most beautiful places with white sand beaches that you can enjoy. Rest for the night, wake up early in the morning, go to the beach, and have breakfast before the long ride. Now you can drive around the island. You don’t have to circumnavigate the island, just select the places you want to visit. This way, you will be able to see waterfalls, small towns, and the coastline along the way. Make your trip easy and relaxing.
Day 2 in Puerto Galera:
Go for island hopping and snorkeling. You can take boat tours which offer food and take you to small islands around the area. There is a big nightlife on this island. You will find a lot of bars. At night you can find live music as well. You will need your own motorbike to go around the Island. Small scooters can cost you up to 750 to transport from Batangas City to Puerto Galera.
Day 3 in Puerto Galera:
Drive back to Manila. Make sure to book the boat ticket in advance, including your motorbike. There are only limited spots available for motorbikes on the boat. Also, go early and check the departure time the day before.
